With only two weeks to go, the crew throws it into fifth gear to finish the Alumatub. When the 'tub suddenly loses all oil pressure on the morning of its big debut, Boyd nearly blows a gasket.

The build off is over, and the race across country will determine the winning hot rod. Through desert, forest and mountains the teams race their cars facing every possible tragedy and triumph. Finally, a winner is crowned but a huge surprise awaits them.

Everyone pitches in despite several hotheaded stand-offs, so that they can meet their deadline. But at the final second, when they try to start the suped-up '42 Woodie, they discover a major leak, which takes hours to correct....

New guy, Bernt, feels the pressure as time runs out to finish the hot rod for Bud Light. Tensions run high as everyone scrambles to meet the deadline.

The Coddington crew feels the pressure as they finish the 1959 Impala "Ghetto Princess" and matching motorcycle. To boost morale among the Marines before their deployment to Iraq, Boyd unveils these masterpieces at Camp Pendleton in Southern California.

As the crew struggles to get all three projects done in time for SEMA, Thomas comes back to the shop to help out the guys. Tensions are high as the deadline approaches.

Running out of time to finish their latest build, a '56 Chevy convertible, the guys in the body shop are forced to work over the holidays. Duane and Boyd decide to give Tony another chance, and bring him back to the shop as an unpaid intern.

With the '69 El Camino progressing smoothly, the '31 Model A truck falls further behind and forces Boyd to push his team and this double-build down to the wire to make both reveals.

The Coddington crew enters the final 2 weeks on the '59 Corvette. But the build comes to a halt, as Boyd and the guys head to Tulsa, OK, where they unearth a '57 Plymouth Belvedere that's been in a time capsule for 50 years.
