The Appraisers

Ben tackles the appraisal of a 1950 Mercury Coupe Resto-Mod; Chris gauges the value of a 1941 Cadillac Series Sixty Special; Tom values a "one of one"1960 Imperial Limousine, formerly owned by Nelson Rockefeller; then the guys have different ideas about a 1956 Corvette that's going to auction.

Tom has the thrill of a lifetime appraising - and driving - a 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4; the heat is on as Chris nails the appraisal for a luxurious 2007 Maybach 62; and Ben is in his element as he appraises a 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia and a 2003 Saleen S7 super muscle car.

The Appraisers head to Hershey, PA, to put values on four "sweet rides." Chris is delighted to put a value on a1922 Pierce-Arrow, which may have been owned by Milton Hershey; then he appraises a 1936 Dirt Track Sprint Car, once owned by champion driver, Leroy Felty; Tom puts a big number on a rare 1957 Chrysler 300C; then Ben offers an agreeable number on a 1947 Ford Woodie Wagon.

There's healthy competition at an exciting auto auction as Chris offers an acceptable figure on a hand-made Pedal Car Replica of a 1921 Duesenberg 183; he sees green with a 1934 Lancia Augusta March Special Tourer; Tom is confident with his six-figure appraisal of a 1937 Packard 115C Station Wagon; and Ben says the sky's the limit when the bidding starts for a swank 1930 Cadillac V-16 Roadster.

Tom, Chris and Ben love to attend car shows, where they find cool and hot cars that come with a wide range of stories. Chris drops anchor to appraise a1964 770C Amphicar; Ben learns the heartwarming back-story of a 1970 AAR Cuda; Tom appraises a classic 1932 Hudson; then he strikes it big in his huntfor a rare 1973 Mohs Safarikar.

The Appraisers travel to Buffalo, NY, and chance upon four engaging car chase stories. Chris offers his take on a 1937 Plymouth PT50 Truck; then it's fun, fun, fun with a 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster Woodie that was driven across Africa and also once chauffeured the Beach Boys; Ben is pumped to about an all-original 1961 Pontiac Catalina; and Tom puts a value on the last 1949 Playboy Coupe ever made.

When it comes to selling their vehicles, car enthusiasts have great expectations. Ben encounters two differing mindsets as he weighs in on a 1969 Chevy Nova SS 396 then a 1987 Buick GNX; Chris appraises a 1961 Ford Thunderbird; Tom provides reassurance for the owner of a 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible; then assesses the Preston Tucker 1001 and 1026 cars from the Cammack Tucker '48 Collection.

A personal connection with a vehicle and other reasons can influence an owner's decision to sell a vehicle - or to ride on. Tom knows a 1976 Mercedes 450 SL is a wise investment; Ben diagnoses muscle car fever appraising a '64 Pontiac GTO 389 and a '69 Ford Shelby Mustang GT 350; Chris encounters human emotion in valuing a 1964 Chevy C10 truck and a 1975 Oldsmobile Delta Royale Convertible.
