In the waters off New Zealand, host Kina Scollay leaps into the water with a group of orca. They are moving fast, and are several times the size of him - it’s high-stakes. On his side - and watching his back - is Ingrid Visser, world renowned orca expert. She’s been studying them for 30 years, knows who they are, and what they might do.

In pristine waters, in one of the most remote locations on earth, lives a mysterious species of shark. Sevengills here are almost unstudied by science, but they make their presence known, being responsible for more attacks in New Zealand than any other shark. Host Kina Scollay takes an expedition boat into the heart of the wilderness to find a population of sevengills lurking in the dark water.

On their own in the Pacific Ocean are the Chatham Islands: wild, remote, and circled by a population of great white sharks. This is a special location for host Kina Scollay, who was attacked by one of these sharks while diving there professionally 20 years ago. In this episode, Kina invites the viewer into his world of researching and filming massive New Zealand great white sharks.

The New Zealand Sea Lion is more than the most endangered sea lion on earth. It is also intensely charismatic, overly friendly, and as interested in our cameras as we are in them.
