Adrian Dunbar returns as retired Detective Inspector Alex Ridley. As a police consultant, Ridley joins forces with his former protégée DI Carol Farman, now at the helm of investigations. Together they delve into intriguing mysteries from a series of jewelry heists that turn into murder, to a decomposed body found in a hollow tree and a shooting at an illegal rave.

A thief who is about to disclose vital information about the gang is killed after leaving court, turning the case into a murder investigation. An undercover cop handled by Ridley infiltrates the group; but tensions rise as Carol suspects they’re getting dangerously close to the suspects.
