The lives of the Combe family are upended when Julia, the ex-wife of one of the sons, returns after an absence of many years and tries to bond with her granddaughter.

As the leaves in Endellion’s lush park begin to fall, so do the barriers between Julia and her granddaughter, Abby, as well as between Julia and Charles.

When Julia locates Charlotte and the extended family is reunited, tensions are palpable all around, but none are more hostile than those between father and daughter.

War breaks out between the brothers over their inheritances, while Charlotte and Abby face momentous choices. Will the Combes be able to find happiness once again?
