The story of a family with nine children and the conflicts that exist between them. Virginia is the girlfriend of a humble pianist who soon dies. Eloísa is a quite rebellious young woman, Rosario is very practical and for this reason, she marries a Spanish grocer. One of the youngest brothers has a brain tumor, and to all this we must add the severe authoritarianism of the father.
