Count Arthur Strong - a faded star from the golden days of variety. He was never as famous as he thinks he was - or still thinks he is. Now, his days are all about opportunity - with another great entertainment triumph only a phone call away.

Arthur's new friend, Michael Baker, who is the son of his late comedy partner, introduces Arthur to the world of the Internet - but doesn't realize what he has unleashed upon the unsuspecting world.

By a stroke of luck Arthur is asked to contribute two lines in a new radio play.  Unfortunately the producer, the playwright and the other cast members have underestimated the power of Count Arthur Strong to cause untold havoc.

When the cafe crowd is barricaded into the store room while a riot takes place out in the streets, everyone is under strict instructions not to encourage Arthur to "do his act". Unfortunately not everyone takes this advice - leading to some customers deciding they would rather take their chances outside.

When Arthur tries dog walking - a feat which leads to Michael being bitten - it means a trip to the hospital, a doctor's white coat for Arthur, and ensuing chaos - with a poignant twist.

Arthur and Michael, his late comedy partner's son, attempt to make contact with an old friend - but come to realize that goodbyes are far from easy.
