A beekeeper's hives attract bears to a home that also has big sanitary issues and livestock running amok. The Raneys work on the bees and animals, but their fix for the family's water woes is threatened when violent winds blow in.

The Raneys come to the aid of a couple in Hawaii who built their dream homestead in the path of life-threatening flash floods. As the weather closes in, they fight to save the homestead from drowning and also win the trust of the homesteaders.

A Missouri homestead gives the Raneys their biggest challenge ever. Aside from a lack of food and power, the threats include hungry bears, disease-carrying ticks and 60 massive oaks looming over a flimsy cabin in tornado alley.
