Misha the Purple Cat

Misha, Larry and Howie are in the living room eating cookies and playing. The problem is, their cookie crumbs are attracting hoards of ants. Misha's father appears on the scene with the vacuum cleaner in hand: they've left crumbs all over the floor and Mrs. Poodle is coming by for tea. Misha convinces her father not to vacuum up the ants and that the kids will try to get rid of them.

In this episode Misha meets a new neighbor. It opens when Misha is busy, as always, exploring the ant colonies in the garden. Suddenly she notices that someone is moving into the house next door. She contacts her close buddies to help her figure out who the new neighbor will be.

Today at school the group of friends decides to go on a bicycle outing to the park on Sunday. But Howie Hippo doesn't want to join them. There's a problem, and it is that Howie has a secret he's never shared with anyone: he doesn't know how to ride a bike. The first one to find that out is Misha, who tries to figure out a way so he can join in the outing.

Today is Misha's mother's birthday. In celebration of that, Misha's grandmother is making baked fish plus a chocolate cake. Misha has invited her friends over to play. The episode just before Mum is due to arrive home and Misha realizes that someone has eaten the birthday cake. There is only one piece left. The primary suspects are Misha's friends.

Larry Lizard and Misha, playing together at Larry's house, find a map with a big X on it. It turns out to be the map of Larry's garden. The two of them are sure that it's a map showing where a treasure is hidden. They get in touch with their friends and together they start digging up the garden to see what they can find. Since the X is really big, they dig up the whole space.

Today is vaccination day at school. Everyone has to go to the Nurse's office and stand in line, as everyone is given a shot. The kids are all very nervous, but not as much as Larry is. He's been in line for awhile, but he let's everyone go before him. He's scared. When it's Larry's turn no one can find him.

Howie asks Misha to watch over his newly-invented cup: a cookie-holder that he wants to present at the school Science Fair. Misha happily agrees. But as she's supposedly guarding the cup, she gets distracted blowing dandelion seeds with Carol, and the cup disappears. Carol and Misha cook up a way to find it, but it doesn't appear.

There is an ice cream cart in the park where Misha and her friends play, that makes the best ice cream in the world. Howie is one of its biggest fans. One afternoon the cart is gone from its spot: the ice cream maker had broken down. Howie goes home and gets to work building an ice cream maker... and one that makes delicious ice cream. It is so good that everyone is asking him for ice cream.

Strong winds have been forecast for Misha's neighborhood. People are being advised to keep their windows closed because gusts of this nature can cause strange things to happen. Misha looks out the window, frightened. She hears a loud sound and we see a space ship fly by. Yes, it's a UFO, for sure. Misha tells her friends that she saw a space ship. Could it be that extraterrestrials are real?

Misha wants to celebrate her birthday on Sunday, and makes some invitations to give to all her friends. When she gets to school, however, she finds out that Carla Rabbit has just passed out invitations to her birthday party, which is on Sunday too! Plus, Carla's invitations are much prettier. The two girls begin to compete on who can hold the best party.

Misha and her friends are excited because their favorite story illustrator is coming to visit the school library. But when school lets out, Mum announces to Misha that they have some errands to do. Misha grudgingly agrees to tag along with her mother as they stop at one store after another. The worst part is that they keep running into Mrs. Poodle along the way, which makes Misha nervous.

Today there's a field trip to the museum: how boring!. Just as they arrive, Howie pulls out some chocolate cookies and accidentally gets some chocolate on a painting. The kids try to clean the spot with a rag but it just gets bigger. They keep rubbing until the spot becomes a big stain. They have to do something, and quickly: they can make another painting.

Mrs. Poodle has gone out of town for vacation and has basked Carol to take care of it while she was away. Somehow, the fish and fishbowl end up on the roof of Misha's father's car, just as he is about to head off to the car wash. Carol, Misha and Larry chase after Dad to make sure nothing unfortunate happens to Joanot.

When Misha and her friends are bored, they love bothering Mrs. Poodle. They ring her doorbell and hide, or Larry jumps out and scares her. It's fun to make her mad. But today Mrs. Poodle is acting strange, because she's not getting mad. In fact she's being very nice. Too nice. Now it's no fun. They even find out that she can be at the store and at home at the same time.

As she's reading her science book, Misha learns about a species that seems a little scary. Sharks. They are giant fish that live in the sea and have a triangle-shaped fin. As she's engrossed in the subject, Mum appears on the scene with good news: tomorrow the family is going to the beach, together with Misha's buddies. Is that good news? Misha's not sure: what if there are sharks there?

Howie has an album of collector cards of his favorite hero: Super Chef. He's a cook who wears a giant chef's hat and makes delicious dishes. When his album is just about complete and he's all excited he realizes that...oh no! He's missing one card. But the missing card just happens to be the one of the finished dish: right in the middle of the album.

Today Howie is spending the night at Misha's house. A big storm comes up just before bedtime. They are in the bedroom, frightened by the thunder and lightning when they realize they've left one of the walkie-talkies in the kitchen. The one in the bedroom turns on and the light starts blinking. Does that mean that someone's in the kitchen?

The whole class is going on an outing to see the fall foliage. They have a mission: to spot a black woodpecker, a bird that makes a very unusual sound when it sings, as though it were laughing. Misha and Larry get so involved in their search for the bird that they get lost and separated from the class.

A very big package addressed to Grandad has been delivered to Misha's house. All the friends are curious to know what's inside it, and start to investigate. They reach the conclusion that the package holds a grandfather replacement, and they aren't too far off the mark. It is an exercise machine that Grandad has ordered so that he can keep in shape.

Misha has just gotten a new pass for the pool. Today there's a swimming race and she goes to Howie's house to see if wants to join her. But he is all involved in constructing a machine that makes things change color and he decides to skip the race. Misha wants to know if the machine works on people too: she pushes the button and poof!: she turns green.

Carla Rabbit discovers that Misha still sleeps with a stuffed animal. Misha is horrified, because in any given moment Carla could tell someone else, and she's embarrassed for people to know. Misha asks Carla to please keep her secret and Carla takes advantage of that by getting anything she wants out of Misha.

Misha and her friends find a bottle on the beach with a love note inside it and they are determined to find out who the letter is meant for. All clues point to Mrs. Poodle, who admits that the love note is directed to her. At the end of the episode, however, Misha discovers that Mrs. Poodle is actually the one writing the love notes.

Misha's Grandma is making her special soup because guests have been invited for lunch. Misha is helping her and by accident she spills the whole salt shaker into the soup. In a panic, she asks her friends to help her make the soup over again, but unfortunately it doesn't come out well.

Misha's school has a basketball game scheduled against another school. The kids from there are tall, strong and word has it, are very good players. Misha's team is nervous but they know that no one can compete with Gina Giraffe. Gina, however, breaks a leg and can't play, so they have to find a substitute.

Misha is not feeling well. She has a high fever and a little problem: she doesn't want to take the medicine, because it tastes really bad. Her grandfather brings her a book to read while she rests in bed. As she reads the book, she enters into the story. Suddenly she finds herself in a faraway place and doesn't know how to get home.
