Mickybo & Me is based on Owen McCafferty's award-winning play, Mojo Mickybo, about two young boys living in Belfast in 1970. Two boys, depressed by the mind-numbing atmosphere of a city bathed in hatred and fear, escape by taking on the identities of their heroes, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
