The Nivernais is the country of Nevers. It stretches from the Loire to the Morvan massif. It is here that one of the most beautiful boating canals in France can be found: the Canal du Nivernais. Nevers is world famous for its earthenware with its special blue colour and for its cathedral with its contemporary stained glass windows.
