Paul plays midwife to Jolie as the staff eagerly await the birth of her seven puppies. Battersea trainer Ali helps a one-eyed doberman named Maggie, while Paul helps with the painstaking job of removing matted hair from a distressed german shepherd called Lady.

Paul teams snappy puppy Domino up with the older and wiser Freddie, but it does not work out how Paul envisaged.

Paul encounters a puppy named Tulip and a hyperactive dog named Scooby.
