Jonathan mulls over the possible results if he won a city-council seat. Gwen feels betrayed when Kittredge uses their relationship to damage one of Arnie's clients. Mullaney acts as a mentor to a novice DA in an out-of-town murder case.

Zoey helps a jailhouse lawyer with his case. Sarah gives her mother and the Markowitzes cause for worry. An aspiring actress places the blame for her faulty breast-implant surgery on the shoulders of a Hollywood studio chief. Susan experiences very mixed emotions when Mikhail and a starlet steam up the camera lens during a movie shoot. Arnie finds a way to get back at Kittredge.

Gracie gets a personal message from beyond as she represents a widower who claims he was bilked out of a fortune by a psychic. C.J. finds herself attracted to opposing counsel as she argues for the starlet maimed by breast implants. Zoey is very pessimistic about the future of her relationship with Jonathan. Gwen finally sees through Kittredge.
